DMX: The Murder of a Saint

“LIFE OR DEATH. LIVE OR DIE. I WILL NEVER LIVE A LIE.”

(LORD, GIVE ME A SIGN. DMX. YEAR OF THE DOG…AGAIN. 2006)

“YE ARE MY WITNESSES, SAITH THE LORD, AND MY SERVANT WHOM I HAVE CHOSEN: THAT YE MAY KNOW AND BELIEVE ME, AND UNDERSTAND THAT I AM HE: BEFORE ME THERE WAS NO GOD FORMED, NEITHER SHALL THERE BE AFTER ME.” (IS 43:10)

When X died, Jesus wept.

Our LORD and Saviour Jesus Christ wept because Earl Simmons, better known to the world as DMX, was not only a chosen one of His, but he was a friend whom our LORD loved very much. Earl “DMX” Simmons is a saint who has a peculiar relationship with Jesus. The LORD promised him eternal life, and it is indeed true that Earl “DMX” Simmons has put on immortality based on this promise and his faith. DMX is a true believer in the birth, life, ministry, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus the Christ, our LORD that gives all chosen ones the blessed assurance as noted by the Apostle Paul: “O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our LORD Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 15:55). DMX will rise again because he was a true servant who believed by faith and was also saved by grace. DMX is also a man of good works despite what is reported in public records, narratives, and opinions. His life was a living testimony of what true believers must go through in terms of spiritual warfare. The struggles and all the adversities he experienced had a purpose. He was being used to show what it takes to overcome. He was predestined to be an example and a beacon light for many others who would find themselves on the same path for he was rightly prophetic to name his debut album “It’s Dark and Hell is Hot.” He told no lies. His life had tremendous meaning. He had much more work to do for the LORD and that is why it is sacrilegious to mark an angel, a saint, an elect, or any chosen one of the LORD for death. The LORD will eventually or swiftly avenge His chosen.  The Word of God warns, “Saying, touch not mine anointed and do my prophets no harm” (1 Chronicles 1622). The warning is reiterated in Romans 12:19 where it states: “Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the LORD.” It is a transgression to interrupt or thwart the divine plan of GOD. Any person or persons that commits an unauthorized, unjustified, and unpardonable act that involves the attempt to kill a saint; or if anyone is complicit in any way in the orchestration of a targeted hit will receive the maximum punishment, and will face the ultimate justice for such a reprehensible act. “The wages of sin is death.” The LORD gave His word to DMX that he would be covered, delivered, and protected. “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise up against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD” (Isaiah 54.17).

A Brief History

Before I go in depth into my reasons for initiating an internal review with the New York Police Department (NYPD), and the potential lawsuit for their gross failure to investigate the untimely and wrongful death of Earl “DMX” Simmons, I think it would suffice to share what motivates me in the first place. DMX is special to my LORD. And he is also special to me. We have our LORD and Saviour Jesus Christ in common. It is our faith that binds and yokes us together. It is how I am able to recognize him in spirit. It is how we are able to communicate because “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand” (John 10:27-28).
